Great experience at check in. Arrived around 9pm this evening and was greeted by friendly staff. Very helpful. Thanks to Pablo and Ana - they went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Great room- bed very large and comfortable. Good air con. Looking forward to breakfast!

The place has a cool and crisp feel about it as you enter through the revolving door. The colour scheme of the decor looks great and the staff seem super efficient. Prices are in line with most other hotels of this star rating (side portion of chips was £5) and paying for the car park is easy to navigate. The foyer seemed to be a great meeting place for professionals as several people were on laptops. Overall, a very professional and corporate look that was nice.

The Hilton London Croydon hotel is a pretty bland sort of building from the outside and the theme is repeated inside. For some reason they had 3 service staff on reception, two were casually chatting with a customer and a third was dealing with what was almost a queue to register. They also have the reception desk closed off with a Perspex screen - fine but it left no space to actually write on the registration form ( and I found myself wondering why we had to complete a registration form anyway, seemed so dated?). The security on the lifts was tight, you have to swipe your card across a panel before the lift will function - all a bit weird and I'm ashamed to say, I had to get help from a couple of kids who had entered the lift.
I was annoyed to find out that parking was an additional £9.00 per night - I had emailed the hotel and phoned ahead to confirm parking was available and nothing had been mentioned. All I got back from my email asking whether parking would be available was a very abrupt "it's on a first come first serve basis", which frankly, considering I was driving from the South some 80 miles to the hotel and had no idea of the area (Croydon is a dump), was to say the least unnerving. Breakfast was fine but by 8am the food was looking a bit shrivelled up. The rooms were pleasantly bland but the loo had not loo brush? The heating in the room was set for 25C and would not be altered, so it soon became a tad stuffy. I could have requested someone come up to sort it out but I was tired and let it slide. The main entrance leads directly onto the lounge and then to the breakfast/dining room. I can't say that I thought the decor was up to much, bland, inoffensive bordering on dull - the breakfast room reminded me more of IKEA than a reputed hotel.
Overall I can't say it was bad but certainly uninspiring...

Staff are very friendly and always there to help. Rooms are capacious and contained all we could need. Breakfast was very generous and absolutely delicious! Special thanks to Mr. Yas at the dining area for accommodating our needs.

Easyjet left us here stranded, for free though at least so why not leave a review as well, right? :)
We've gotten a King Deluxe room which sounds like much more than it was, but it was very clean and gorgeous. Some basic things are definitely missing in my opinion, like a hair dryer, handsoap (which we got from them on demand), and the washing service wasn't available over the weekend. Also the rooms weren't really quite and pretty cold sometimes. You were only able to turn the AC off, not heat the room in any way.
Of course free food is difficult to judge, but it was honestly really good. We only had breakfast and dinner buffets and it was a great selection of local and various foods including vegan and vegetarian options. Even the drinks were various. The times were flexible and generous enough.
And last but not least the staff was extremely amazing! They were really friendly and more than just helful, they saved our a**** more than once :) Thanks so much to them and if you want great service, come here... But with a hair dryer and a car to get into the city or at least the train station.
