This hotel is very nicely located. We were able to ride bikes and scooters through the park as well as take the underground wherever we needed to go. The staff was lovely and they helped us whenever we needed it; although we did request for early check in, it was not available so we when the staff offered to store our bag while we waited and looked around the city it was absolutely fabulous! The room was very nice and big, and the view was quite pretty! We had a lovely weekend with lovely facilities to relax and plan for the next day! Overall a great experience!

The staff was pleasant, the location was good (for my needs). The rooms did not, however, match their descriptions online. I was in two different "Standard Single" rooms during my stay. Their description on their web site lists that all rooms have a park or city view but I was first put in a small room with a frosted window that opened to a wall. No view at all. When I asked to have my reservation cancelled so I could move to another hotel they finally moved me to an even smaller room that at least has a nice view of the park (from one window not the three that their rooms are shown as having on the web), but no "work desk with Adjustable Lamp" and no mini-fridge which are also listed as a feature in the rooms and were in the first room. In fact, neither room looked at all like any of the pictures online. The second room was quite small - 7.8 sq. m which is listed as their minimum size room (yes, I measured it). Note that 7.8 sq. m is about 84 sq. feet and that is really small - less than a standard 10x10 office cubicle, for example. With a room that small there really is no place to put a desk and fridge. They list their largest Single as having 13 Sq. m, almost twice as big as the room I was in, so lucky me I just got the smallest room they had after first being placed in a room with no actual window. The television was mounted at a right angle to the bed and while you could tilt it slightly you really couldn't see it from the bed. Finally, the description says there is a "spacious walk-in shower" and there was one in the first room ("walk-in", not "spacious") but in the second there was actually a small but fairly deep tub/shower (56CM or 22 inches on the outside). This might be a problem if you needed a walk-in shower due to a disability or hip/leg problem. Overall this hotel looks like a typical older London hotel with small rooms - but not at all what you expect from a Hilton and they should *really* update their room descriptions to at least say "some of our rooms have..."

Wonderful experience! The highlight of our stay was the entire management team. From restaurant to front desk, to concierge , and even the hotel manager! Every person we encountered here was kind, and polite. The room was clean, and spacious. Decoration is themed, and style is not modern. This was a big part of what made our experience here so enjoyable. The hotel is a little older and does need a little love, but this was not something that directly impacted our experience. On the contrary! This hotel was charming! The location is excellent, with easy access to Gloucester Station, Tesco, Boots, and even Starbucks. Will definitely return and recommend anyone visiting London and looking for a great hotel!
