Absolutely sensational experience with the Hilton in Watford. The service was beyond topnotch from the moment we checked in right to when we checked out. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was very clean and breakfast was more what we can ask for. Davina at reception was very professional, and always went above and beyond to ensure our stay was more than comfortable. The staff at the breakfast were also very polite and helpful. We were made to feel very comfortable and there was a great attention to ensuring the stay was more than perfect!!

It was my first time in this hotel. I had received guests from Africa that is why I had to accompany them for one night. Otherwise there was no need for me to stay in this hotel as it very local to me. Had very different and disappointing experience. It is completely different then what we see in the pictures. Rooms, carpets, toilets all need refreshing. There was a very unpleasant smell in the room and in the hallways. I have stayed in Hilton Hotels around the world before but this was nowhere nearer Hilton I knew. Reception staff was very polite and welcoming when we checked in. No issues there but accommodation is not that great!!! There were no toiletries, hairdryer and shower curtain was filthy. I complained to the receptionist and she promised to give me 20% discount for the inconveniences we have gone through. But I haven't heard anything from her yet.

Figure it's best I visited in the cooler months because I'm not sure the rooms have A/C.
Its located on a pretty awkward corner by a circle so can be hard to get out and turn right. Not much in the immediate vicinity for food and activities either except Costco.
Service was pretty good except that they didn't clean my room on the last day. Not something I'm too bothered by but it was surprising they missed it and I don't know how they did...
Overall not too shabby...

This is far from a 4 star hotel. Most at 2 star or less. The best part of the hotel was the breakfast in the morning. Apart from that this is where it didn’t go well. We arrived to the check in desk to find one person checking in a queue of around 25 people. We also requested our room to be cleaned everyday but this only happened twice over our 9 day stay. We also requested a fan and a fridge due to having food for 7 month old which we needed to store food for. The fan and the fridge didn’t arrive for 2 days into our stay. Our tea, coffee, milk and especially water were not replenished until we had to request 4 times to the reception desk. The water did arrive but then they had the audacity to charge us for the water. The safe was also not working. No baby cot was provided when we said this in our booking. We stayed at Hilton in Bracknell a few months ago and the service there was absolutely amazing compared to Hilton in Watford. For what we paid for this hotel we did not expect this level of service.

The staff were excellent. Very polite, helpful and friendly. The rooms were a little dated but comfortable non the less. The free ice-creams was a lovely touch given the hot weather & the kids were given an activity pack on arrival too!
