When we arrived we were advised that the kitchen was quite busy and that it would take up to fifteen minutes for our order to arrive. We accepted this and they showed us to a table. They then ignored us for the next 20 minutes until we asked to be served. We attempted to order a salad but were advised that we could only order from the weekend brunch menu, which we did. Our coffee and orange juice arrived quite promptly but they were about the same temperature, and the juice was clearly the cheap "from concentrate" variety. We didn't have a choice of coffee - just a lukewarm black Americano. We eventually waited an hour for our breakfast to arrive and when it did it was lukewarm, the eggs were badly cooked, the toast was cold and tough and the rest of it was very average. The potato wedges were the highlight of the meal and would have actually been good if they were properly hot. Service was sub-par throughout. We were seated in the small room outside and they mainly ignored that room. Some of the other tables there easier longer than an hour for their brunch. The staff didn't seem to be aware of how poorly they were treating their customers and didn't seem to care. We were offered a glass of bubbles as compensation but we didn't feel like drinking alcohol and it certainly didn't make up for the ridiculously long wait, poor quality food or service. Eventually when we went to pay, the chap at the counter explained that they were short staffed in the kitchen and apologised for the poor experience. He seemed to be the only one aware of how badly they were doing, and I would have expected him to give us 50% off but we paid full price for this overpriced and terrible brunch and we won't be coming back!
