I urge any business to not lease at this location. Don't be fooled by the temporary discounted rates or the creative work area. They have the worst management handling the building with poor resolutions. Where do I start? First the internet service they provide would drop out constantly, and on site management tries to be your on site IT and diagnose where really don't know what they are doing. Lost paid internet for 3 days and I couldn't efficiently run my design business. They have remote IT team where the management have issues contacting them and finding a solution. Expect a week of delays if any issues come up. Second management stated that only businesses within your floor should have access to that floor, however when I was there, there was many times random people entered my floor and just roamed around and peep into other businesses. Third many times there would be unexpected maintenance repairs where they enter your office without permission or any heads up. Lastly the thing that did it for me is that they gave key access to another business to my office. Those individuals were drunk one night and entered my office thinking that it was theirs. Those individuals left my door wide open the next day where thousands of dollars worth of equipment laid open to be stolen. Management could not explain to me or take accountability to what happened. When this happened, I tried cutting out of my lease right then and there but they still charged me for two additional months. Thank goodness I found a better place than spaces makers quarter and I'm finally out this terrible place. I can't stress enough that this place just isn't worth it. One last thing I want to add is they are trying to charge me $870 for patching up small holes on the drywall for restoration fees.

Summary:
The company went back on its word when lease signed. Service unavailable during Covid - Co. refuses to release from lease. Look at their Better Business Bureau Rating in San Diego & Dallas (corporate office) - Terrible.
Complaint:
• When considering signing up for a month to month membership, the company instead sold me on a 12-month lease for a small monthly discount – Signed end of January 2020, started lease February 2020.
• When deciding between a 30-day vs. a less expensive 10-day per month account, I was assured I could switch down to the 10-day account from the 30 at any time for the lower priced option in the 12-month lease deal.
• After using the office space for 45-days the state/city mandated a lockdown, requiring all non-essential workers stay home. Though lifted for a short time, that ordinance is still in place as of August 2020. I am legally prevented from using the space – if it was available.
• The offices space had a ‘Covid incident.’ An acquaintance with a company in East Village was having a leadership meeting at the site when they were asked to leave because someone in the building had been exposed to someone with Covid.
• After the lockdowns it was virtually impossible to reach anyone at the Spaces office or at the main Corporate offices – all phone numbers were routed to voice mail.
• Space was unavailable for a long time. As of now original hours advertised and signed for are not available.
• Due to Covid-19 shared office space is not safe.
• I offered/enquired about reducing the 30-day membership to the 10-day to save money on a service not being used, but was told the original deal/price was no longer available. It was more expensive now.
• After using the service for 45 days and the original services/availability signed up for is no longer available, the company continues to charge my credit card and refuses to relieve me from the lease.
