I javelin been to a couple of Spaces around the world and this is one of the great ones, the staff are super efficient and very kind, the layout of the building is great, the rooms suit all your needs and everything is clean and the colour schemes calming. Loved it will be going back soon!

I don't concur... Since I have started renting offices at Spaces, the 2 receptionist have always been constantly showing good people management skills; great etiquettes to all people inclusive of the cleaners... I am surprised when they are posted as rude... The 2 receptionist are so friendly and welcoming all the time... Therefore please let's carefully observe and be proactive than reactive.

My colleagues and I visited Spaces offices on Monday, 30th Jan 2023. We had a planning session booked with them. Our experience with reception was not great at all. Firstly my colleague arrived first and was not welcomed properly. Secondly, the way we were directed to our meeting room was not pleasant. It was like we were expected to know where the room is. Thirdly, we ask for coffee and the lady was like "call reception and your call will be directed to the cafeteria". I felt that was rude and she should have at least showed us how to make the call. Lastly when we left, we asked that our coffee be billed together with our invoice, the same lady at reception ( she sits on the left of reception, wears glasses and had natural extensions on her pony tail - hairstyle) was very rude and just told me to go pay at the cafeteria, they don't do what I requested. I don't mind how they work and do things, but her response was not polite at all. She didn't even look at me in the eye, she was responding me while facing down and doing other stuff and pointing at the cafeteria.
On the other hand, I must give credit to the cafeteria staff. They were super amazing, friendly and very welcoming.
Unfortunately, because of the service received from the Spaces receptionist, our staff or client meetings will rarely happen at Spaces offices in Menlyn Maine

I rented out an office space in Menlyn Maine for a month. Here was my experience:
Starting with the good first, the facility is a perfect spot for people looking to work remotely. The dedicated office space is secluded enough to focus when needed, but the access to common areas and a cafe allows for the busy feel of an office. The facilities are easy to access, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It was a seamless transition working from my office in the US to working in SA.
The negative left an unfortunate bad taste in my mouth, and it has more to do with Spaces’ business model: the hidden costs. The first issue is regarding the price for a dedicated office space on the website. The price was R3,000. When I did a tour of the office space, I was informed that the cheapest price for office spaces is R5,000. I was given a discount, but VAT was not included the price, so the discount was a wash, and the price was R5,500. Ultimately, I was a bit frustrated, but decided to move forward.
Once the month ended, I saw a few more invoices show up on my account. I spoke with the office administrator, who said that all those additional invoices would be refunded. After a series of emails, it turns out that one month of the cheapest dedicated office space is over R7,000 (including a R1,200 cost for “restoration services”, even though the only thing changed when we rented the office space was rolling in a second office chair…), compared to the R3,000 advertised.
So, while the office space is great and the experience while I was there was good, the hidden costs are atrocious. If I had this visibility from the start, I would not have minded as much as the bait and switch that occurred here.
