Had a fabulous experience this morning at the Ritz. We attended for breakfast and I can’t recommend this enough. Greeted by the doorman and escorted to the main foyer and into the charge of the restaurant manager. The waiting staff could not have been more attentive and kindly explained everything on the breakfast menu. Food first class as you would expect. I was very impressed with Carmen ( from Madrid) who went above and beyond to make this experience one to remember. I can assure you that I will be back in the coming months to experience this fabulous hospitality and professionalism.

Gorgeous atmosphere. Really appreciated their accommodating my vegetarianism. The piano player added SO much. We were supposed to have two courses of tea but only got one. Desert was brought out with lunch and it all felt not really rushed, but haphazard. The servers were lovely but there weren’t enough of them. They seemed stressed and super busy. I had such a hard time getting anyone’s attention. When we asked if we could bring our leftover sandwiches home, we were told this was against the rules but a request would be made to the manager. Why on earth? So this made us feel bad. Was this really the famous high tea at the Ritz?

I had been for afternoon tea in the Ritz before, but staying in the hotel takes things to another level! The service is probably the best in the world! The food particularly for us as veggies/ vegans was some of the best we’ve tasted and the the surroundings pure luxury and opulence. Rita the Manager and all of the staff could not have done more to make our stay one of the best nights we’ve ever had in a hotel. It was my 60th and from start to finish it was the best birthday I could hope for.
