For the price I would say the rooms are unremarkable, but that’s fine as typically the room is only used when you want to sleep.
The cooked breakfast was great, good size and leaves you feeling nicely satisfied.
Worth being aware that parking is £9 a night.

Very nice staff and convenient location for us. Lighting in our room was unpleasant - a choice between strange blue spotlights in the ceiling or bedside lamps that made a very loud buzzing noise while switched on. Very comfortable bed and fantastic breakfast in the morning.

I stayed at this hotel for a work trip and I would not recommend it. If I had paid for the hotel myself I would not have stayed. My single room was very small, and badly lit, with few electricity points, it was not a pleasant environment in which to sit. There was no double glazing on the window, which was in poor repair and opened straight onto the garden with very poor security. The fabric of the room and some public areas generally is in disrepair- frayed upholstery, chipped wood, cracked walls and ceilings. The security is poor- no deadlocks or chains on doors and reception rarely staffed. The freshly cooked breakfast was tasty but the service from staff, the number of staff, and the organization of the breakfast service each day were inadequate, and I did not feel the breakfast was good value for money (£10 pp). The bar and restaurant did not seem to be open during my stay and the only drinks available were from reception (very pricey). Staff were not easily available (reception was rarely staffed when I went past) and were not helpful or proactive in addressing issues. I do not believe this hotel should be advertising itself as four stars, and the low prices are the best indicator of the low quality and service all round.

The hotel is easy to find but has a very small car park which never seemed to have any spaces. The alternative is paid on street parking which soon mounts up over a weekend.
We didn't take breakfast as we needed to go out early each day but £12 per person also sounded expensive!
Our room was nice and quiet at the end of the hotel. Perfectly functional for 2 of us, plenty of tea and coffee etc and comfortable beds. Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom and no glass for toothbrushes. Good powerful shower and big towels though.
Reception staff were friendly and welcoming but unfortunately let down by housekeeping who managed to leave our room open and unlocked after cleaning it - more care needed!!

I spent 3 nights in this hotel for work purposes. After traveling on a hot day, I went for a shower and there was no shampoo or even a soap in the bathroom, which I was later informed it would not be provided. Furthermore, the hand-wash basin was very dirty, as if it has not been cleaned and there was mold on the ensuite! Upon discovering these issues, I asked reception if my bathroom could be cleaned but I was advised that no house-keeping staff are available at the moment and that would need to be sorted the next morning. I left the 'make up my room sign' on the door handle the next morning and, when I returned in the night, I noticed no one had cleaned the ensuite, which could be seen with the dirty hand-wash basin and the towels haven't been changed with the exception of the floor towel which had been removed and not replaced.
As for breakfast, no complaints except the fact that the coffee cups and cutleries were not clean. An example was the upside-down coffee cups on the tray were stuck because there was coffee on the tray and, once detached, there were marks of coffee on the edge of the cup!!
Unfortunately due to the cleaning issues my experience wasn't the best. The only plus side was the convenient location and the bed was comfortable!
