I’m always grateful to the owner of the Saatchi Gallery for offering free exhibitions. There are times when you do need to buy tickets for certain sections, though. Since I live nearby, I often stop by and the artworks always lift my mood. If you’re visiting Chelsea as part of your trip, I highly recommend popping in – and do have a look around the shop for souvenirs. Most galleries have items you can only find there. There’s also a large bench under a big tree by the entrance – a perfect spot to sit and rest for a bit. Oh, and don’t expect much in terms of service from the staff at the entrance or in the shop. They’re not particularly friendly, and unless you’re actually buying something, they tend to ignore guests and just chat amongst themselves.

This was my first time visiting Saatchi Gallery. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of it, so much larger than I expected. The exhibition was very good, FLOWERS – FLORA IN CONTEMPORARY ART & CULTURE. Many different artists were displayed in large airy galleries, and two of the exhibits were in their own galleries. Well worth a visit at £10.

I love the Saatchi Gallery - always something interesting to see and great location. We went to the Flowers exhibition which I recommend for the diversity of creativity on show. You'll need tickets for it but there are always free exhibitions on too presenting an eclectic mix of international art, sculpture and interactive works. Outside there are street food vendors, a champagne and oyster bar and various eateries. Well worth a visit.

Nice gallery, walking distance from Victoria Station. Very cool exterior, small galleries with great exhibitions. We visited the flower exhibition, which I thought was brilliant. Very interesting displays, good areas, seats available for the occasional rest. The washrooms were okay (clean, but hook behind door broken so needed to juggle handbag or pay to store it, soap dispenser broken but temporary one provided). Shop full of interesting things to buy (not completely stupid prices). Coffee available (but we didn’t buy one). Not sure if you would cope with a pushchair or wheelchair—there was a lift but it was small. Steps were crowded. Worth visiting when not too busy. We didn’t book in advance and we paid and entered immediately. But I don’t know if that is typical.

Went to the flowers exhibition which was enjoyable. The gallery is very clean and easy to get around. Loved the shop. The shop staff, probably should have stopped talking their personal conversations and served the queue of people (3 people behind till, 1 Serving)
