So I went to Wagner Hall for the weekend Spike Lee film festival, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself there! The films proved to be pretty interesting (although that will of course depend on which ones you go see), but other than that, it's a very nice venue. Quite spacious, a good sized screen (not cinema sized, but just big enough). There's a bar with drinks and food, though I recommend bringing your own.
The seats can get a bit uncomfortable, unfortunately. They aren't the soft, cushiony seats you might be used to from cinemas, but they're not awful either. If you're sitting down for a long time though, it can get a bit uncomfortable.
Our event host was really nice too, I didn't catch his name but had a nice chat with him about the films we watched and he was lovely to talk to, very knowledgeable about the films in question.
I would definitely go back there for other screenings, really enjoyed my time there. I do hope they consider upgrading the seats though.

Great little venue. Was there to listen to a terrific evening of jazz, with Tristan Banks on drums, Terry Pack on double bass, Simon Robinson on piano, Chris Coull on trumpet and vocalist Imogen Ryall. A great night at this venue and more are planned.
