*response to your ridiculous response : firstly claiming we were being any form of aggressive is absolutely embarrassing we were at times assertive and because you had no valid response you are now playing the victim but there was no aggression and I demand you explain that accusation in full. your lies about us trying not to pay are ridiculous considering you refunded us the money we HAD paid (without us requesting you to do so) as a goodwill gesture for something you now are trying to claim never happened and it was only labelled a goodwill gesture because we didn't ask for or want a refund of our rent (a conversation we have an audio recording of) , we were trying to find who was responsible for the £4800 bill we had to pay to a 3rd party artist for work that was damaged behind a locked door (that we PAID extra for because you told us it was the safest option) in the art space you manage. there was lots of evidence such as renting out a portion of the locked room and giving them a key without even informing or introducing us , the fact everything in our space had been moved, the fact there was women's hair (matching the person) all over the damaged stuff, the fact she told you she moved items that weren't hers to open the window and notably all the damaged artwork . you did not let us have free storage we paid for the parking space and even then we came to find someone else's items piled on top of ours so please explain why/how you could give us a refund of money we were apparently trying not to pay for something you claim didn't happen (even though we didn't ask for it)?????? Hamilton house is run by the most incompetent, inept, pretentious liars of any art space ive ever encountered and I am so happy to have left for a space that is not only bigger, cheaper, more accessible, and a better environment but they actually manage to keep peoples items safe when you store them there.
NOT SAFE TO STORE YOUR ART/WORK HERE!!!!!! awful experience had £5k worth of an independent artists work damaged and stolen from one of their locked rooms (we rented a locked room at an extra cost because they advised us our stuff would be safe and untouched). rather than figure out an acceptable resolution they kicked me out and banned me from entering the premises with no other explanation than they dont need to explain. up themselves, incompetent, inept and whole heartedly unprofessional is how I would describe the management they care more about looking pretentious and serving their little hipster cliques than actually doing their jobs and to top it off its completely overpriced. after speaking to other people in the building it turns out multiple people have had items stolen with zero action from management to the point people have had to install there own cctv. wish I had known how badly this place was run would have avoided like the plague there are so many better quality better priced equivalents in bristol.... shop around, dont make the same mistake I did

It feels like a disused warehouse, and just by coincidence, it was a disused warehouse. So don't expect a springy dancefloor. With plenty of live global roots music, it's my kind of place. Despite being a building hosting music / arts performances, it isn't aesthetically pleasing, and I can think of many nicer venues to be in. However, I be dead chuffed if I were the owner. Go for the music, not the architecture.

I absolutely love this independent community centre. Really artistic, with loads of activities and events. Also great place for going out for drinks, meeting new people and networking with other artists. I wish that it remains there and keeps on promoting great artistic movements and workshops. You should definitely pass by for a drink or something if you are walking around Stokes Croft. Amazing vibes and lovely people

Free HIV and STI test vending machine installed October 2022.
My favourite memory was having an interview for the creatively titled 'Space Manager' role advertised in 2014. The best bit? ... getting to meet Bex Baxter who went on to do the epic Ted Talk on periods and working balance/adjustments.

One of the best things to happen in Bristol of the last 10 years is this brilliant music venue..
