We recently stayed here for two nights for my wife's birthday. From start to finish, our experience was fantastic.
You are greeted with a stunning reception area, which is tastefully decorated and oozes class.
The reception staff were very welcoming and even provided us with a room upgrade for the special occasion.
The room was lovely, very clean and with all the amenities you would expect - very good soundproofing (we never heard any other guests) and the blackout curtains were excellent.
The control for the lights took a little getting used to but was quite intuitive once you got the hang of it.
The only issue we had was with the shower head leaking, however we reported this to reception and it was fixed by the time we returned later that day!
The hotel is in a perfect location - a two minute walk from the nearest tube station and only 8 minutes walk from Covent Garden!
We would absolutely stay here again and will recommend to friends and family.

Great hotel within walking distance of Hellborn station, very nice area with many pubs, restaurants, and shopping options, very friendly staff at reception. There was also a welcome drink. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a grand interior design. It fits very well with the rest of the hotel's furnishings. The breakfast, which is à la carte, is of very high quality, unfortunately, you can only order a certain number of items from the menu, otherwise, I would say it's an absolutely high-quality hotel. The gym is also very well equipped with Technogym equipment. I will definitely come back.

I've stayed at Middle Eight about 12-15 times (I've lost count), so I think I'm in a good position to give a review.
In short: I'm a huge fan. Everything is genuinely excellent. The value, the location, the rooms, the service, the bar, the restaurant, and even the gym.
I stay in a lot of hotels and I also manage a lot of people in my job. I think I can tell when a hotel is well managed. It hits me as soon as I walk in the door, feel the ambience and start interacting with the team. At Middle Eight, it's as close to faultless as you can get (at least without paying double or triple the price in one of the top hotels).
An aspect that I really appreciate include the rooms being very quiet. I've never had a problem with sleep in Middle Eight, unlike many other hotels. I think they've invested a lot of money into sound insulation. (Just don't stay on the regular rooms on the first floor as you can hear the music from the bar... this was my only negative experience in all of my stays. The suites are also on the first floor but I don't think they are above the bar, so they might not have the noise issue. I've never stayed in them.)
I'm also a fan of the gym. It's not brilliant and it doesn't take many people to feel cramped. But the bikes, rowing machines and treadmills are all very well maintained. It's surprising how many hotels don't get this right – even a very expensive resort in the Maldives that I stayed at recently. If exercise is important to you, then you need a reliable gym and Middle Eight has got it.
Thanks to everyone at Middle Eight. You've consistently delivered an excellent hospitality experience.

An impressive stay from the moment we checked in. Told reception we were celebrating our birthdays and my husband and I were given free Prosecco and a room upgrade! Wow!
Our room was spotless and great. Very spacious and loved the seating area and the bathroom.
Service in the bar was very slow, but we weren’t in a rush so no big deal. Breakfast was great. Nice to have it served to your table for a change.
We will definitely be back!
Thank you.

Stayed here in July 2024 with my husband and we loved our stay here! The location is absolutely perfect in the heart of Covent garden, right around the corner from the tube stop!
This was my first time in London and we felt it was an ideal location to walk around, explore, and check out local attractions. We were able to walk to the British museum from here and to many local pubs!
The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We also loved our room! There was a nice little mini market across the street where we could grab snacks and waters when needed. The bar and restaurant were also great!
We used the hotel gym everyday, and it was surprisingly very modern and nice.
I really don’t have anything negative to say. Would love to stay here again! We felt like locals while we stayed here.
