Enjoyed afternoon tea here with friends. The food and setting was very nice but it was the service that made the experience really special. From being greeted at the door, taken to table and attentively professional yet friendly waiter service throughout. Also very helpful in addressing some allergy requirements in the group. Thank you to all the staff who made us so very welcome.

The hotel is fine, just massively overpriced. I paid £400/night and stayed in the tiniest room I've ever stayed in. On top of that I could hear the person in the room next to me snoring. Then on checkout they charge you an "optional" £15/night service fee as room cleaning gratuity. Just pay your staff a proper salary, rather than tacking on junk fees. The cookies in the room on arrival was a nice touch.

We spent 8 nights here and were extremely happy. The room was small but we weren't there most of the time and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The staff make it a point to know your name and to greet you each time. The concierge was a gem, saving us time and money for each excursion we asked him about. The dining staff reserved a table for us each morning for breakfast as they quickly learned our schedule. Of course there is the location - across the street from the British Museum (we visited 4 times) and walking distance to practically anywhere. For a unique, lovely experience do not hesitate to stay here.
