While not a suburb in itself, London's famous Marble Arch, which sits adjacent to Mayfair and Marleybone, has come to lend its name to the surrounding area since its inception in the 19th century.

Originally built in 1827 by architect, John Nash, as a state entrance to Buckingham Palace, the Arch was relocated to its current site in 1851, where it now fulfils a slightly less grand purpose as the centre of a roundabout.

But nonetheless, the eponymous Arch still provides an air of luxury about the city. So it's no wonder that the flexible work spaces in the area are also luxurious! Check out our top 6 spaces in Marble Arch below (and read on to the end for information about how to book).

For history-lovers: TOG, 7 Stratford Place - from £39*

This sleek workspace at Stratford Place will have you sending emails in style. Just a 1 minute walk from Bond Street station, this space is ideal for people looking to meet up with colleagues coming from afar. But while the design may look modern now, equipped with high spec ergonomic furniture and super fast wifi, it has a long and rich history.

The building, which dates back to the Georgian Era, was once home to Martin Van Buren, the 8th President of the United States. So while we can't guarantee that anyone who books into this space will have as successful a political career as this, it's definitely a good fact to wow your co-workers with when you're catching up.
This flexible work space is run by The Office Group, who you might remember we recently partnered with (and shouted about on social media). We're always expanding our fantastic network of hosts and we think everyone will agree, TOG is a wonderful edition.

Take a walk in Hyde Park

We don't really need to recommend taking a walk in Hyde Park, since it's probably the most famous park in all of London. But the importance of walking during your work day can never be over-stated. Our sedentary lifestyles as plaguing us with skeletal problems, stress, and brain fog - but even walking for just 30 minutes (or two lots of 15) has been proven to yield a 30% boost in worker productivity!

Our friends over at Spot certainly agree. We recently partnered with them as part of our Tech Talks series where they gave us the low-down on their audio-only walking meeting platform that promotes employee physical and mental health.

For snackers: Landmark Portman Street - from £25pp

We've worked with Landmark since our early inception, and they've always been one of our most trusted and well-renowned hosts. An industry giant, they've come to be known as office space experts; and their Portman Street location is reflective of this expertise. It mixes modern trends, like exposed planks and bright pops of colour, with old reliable features, like private meeting rooms and phone booths, to create an inspiring space.

As well as coworking and meeting room space, Portman Street also boasts 24-hour access, a fruit and snack bar, and coffee and tea-making facilities for when you're running low on energy.

For cyclists: TOG, Melcombe Place - from £39*

Another TOG offering, this space is located in a prime spot near Marleybone station. Luxuriously designed with velvet fittings, this office as only recently refurbished in 2019 by SHED Architects, meaning all the fittings of the highest quality. You won't forget how close you are to the train line when working in this office as the interior designers have been sure to add little nods to British railway history throughout the office (including this rather Tube-like bench you can see above).

Cycling to work? Why not, when Melcombe Place has ample bike storage on offer. Did you know cycling to work could actually be the key to a longer and healthier life? That's at least according to one researcher, Carlijn Kamphuis, from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, whose 2015 study claimed that every hour cycled added one extra hour to your lifespan. Take that Fountain of Youth!

For creatives: TOG, 91 Wimpole Street - from £46*

The final TOG space to make the list, 91 Wimpole Street advertises itself as a "quiet escape from central London", while still boasting a central location just 3 minutes walk from Bond Street station. The workspace itself has been designed with a perfect blend baroque, period and Art Deco styles with a central feature being the glass atrium in the middle of the office, which filters plenty of natural light through the space.

Fun Fact! Paul McCartney actually wrote some of The Beatles' most famous songs just a few doors down from this office. So who knows, maybe there's Something about this street that helps those creative juices flow.
