I've sayed in quite a few hotels but this one is exceptional. Clean with attentive staff, I know you should expect this but I'm so often let down. A bottle of wine and fruit waiting in the room on arrival was a welcome treat. The executive lounge is a godsend for families with teenage children, crisps, biscuits and soft drinks all day long and warm snacks, beer, wine and spirits in the evening for a couple of hours all included in the cost of the room. Breakfast was fantastic, the waffle and pancake machines were great fun, there was something for everyone. The tables were cleared within seconds of guests leaving the table. Parking is pretty expensive in Cambridge, the hotel offers valet parking at £30 per day. For our two night stay this was not much more than using the park and ride and way more convenient. It does get busy during normal check in/out times though and we ended up in a queue of cars which eventually blocked the road for a short while until things got moving. The room was well set out, spacious with a coffee machine, iron and board and plenty of shampoo, body wash etc. The sofa bed wasn't made up on arrival but a quick visit to reception on the way out for dinner and it was done. This is a fantastic hotel that the staff and management should be proud of. I hope to return.
