The Shard is definitely one of the most impressive buildings I’ve seen in London. It’s hard to miss—it’s tall, sharp, and really stands out against the skyline. I went up to the viewing platform, The View from The Shard, and the views were honestly incredible. You can see the whole city from up there—Tower Bridge, the Thames, St Paul’s, everything. If the weather’s clear, you can see for miles. That said, I did find the ticket price a bit on the expensive side (around £25–£30), so it’s not something I’d do regularly. But if you’re visiting London for the first time or want to treat yourself, it’s worth it for the views alone. It feels calm and spacious at the top, and they let you take your time. There are also a few restaurants and bars inside the Shard. I didn’t eat there, but the setting looked lovely—great for a special occasion. Even if you don’t go up, just seeing the Shard from the outside, especially at sunset when the glass reflects the light, is quite something. Overall, it’s a modern landmark that gives you a real sense of how big and beautiful London is.

I was genuinely impressed by this incredible building. The view from the top is breathtaking you get a full panoramic view of London, and it really gives you a whole new perspective on the city. Watching the sun set from up there was truly magical. The architecture itself is amazing, both modern and elegant. I also loved how peaceful and calm the atmosphere was, even with other visitors around. Everything was well organized, from the entrance to the top-floor viewing platform. If you’re visiting London, The Shard is a must-see. Whether you’re into photography, architecture, or just want to enjoy one of the best views in Europe this place is worth it. I absolutely loved it and would go again!

Quite an impressive skyscraper, I must say. There is also a train station underneath it. Very convenient. I didn't go inside or up the building, although you can for a price. It is cool to just walk around this area and admire the architecture; both old and new styles coexisting.

Getting to The Shard was very easy, with both local and long-distance train stations just steps away. The purchase was quick on the self-pay machines. There were plenty of staff in place to guide visitors. It was surprising, but not a problem, to find all visitors had a bag check with X-ray along with visitors going through a special detector, much like at the airport(s). The drinks and food at the top were very nice and reasonably priced in our opinion.
