The Guardian once named Bristol one of the happiest cities to work in the UK, combining all the best bits of a buzzing city centre with a cosy community feel and plenty of scenic space. But if you still need more convincing to give Brizzle a visit, it’s also been named the kindest British city - I mean, what else could you expect from a population made famous by its commitment to thanking bus drivers?

So if you find yourself working out west, why not give these 9 diverse spaces a try? You can find all the details about how to book with them at the end of the article.

For techies: Framework, Old City - from £30pp

One of two Forward Spaces in the city, Framework is ideal for those working in tech or as digital nomads - in fact, it was designed with those very workers in mind. The space also has the added appeal of a barista-style coffee machine, free for members to use (plus during covid-times you get the added perk of having your coffee made for you), as well as a library to wind-down in when you feel your eyes going square.

You’ll find this office located along the vibrant King Street in the city centre, which has plenty of colourful pubs situated all the way down it - post-work pub crawl anyone?

For professionals: Landmark, Temple Quay - from £25pp

It wouldn’t be a NearU workspace guide if we didn’t mention Landmark, would it? By now you probably know how much we love these offices, and the Bristol branch is no different - renovated to a high standard, with on-site IT support, and access to a mix of shared and private office space to suit every need; Landmark is perfect for those who thrive in a more corporate, high-energy environment.

You also can’t beat the central location of this Bristolian space, just a short walk away from Temple Meads train station on the banks of the Floating Harbour.

For busy bodies: Flagship, Old City - from £15pp

Next up is Flagship, another centrally located space with a mix of shared and private space that’s perfect for anyone looking for a bit of help with their workload. Of course, as with all of NearU’s listed spaces, Flagship is beautifully designed with productivity in mind - but they also have the added luxury of their virtual PA system which they offer to members. They’ll sign for your packages, offer reception services and provide meeting room credits - nothing says success like your own personal assistant, right?

For creatives: Hamilton House, Stokes Croft - from £16.50pp

The second Forward Space on our list, Hamilton House is ideal for creatives thanks to its wide variety of space, including a dance studio, art room, and other workshop areas. They also regularly host cool events like life drawing, yoga classes, and spoken word poetry evenings, so there’s plenty more to do here than just get your head down.

You can find them in the Bristolian suburb of Stokes Croft, which has gained a reputation in recent years as being the city’s cultural and artistic hub, with plenty of independent shops dotted around for you to peruse while you're there.

Inside you’ll find the same level of luxury, with access to a member’s lounge and kitchen, as well as a restaurant that will even deliver food straight to your desk!

Another thing we love about Square Works is their commitment to knowledge sharing - becoming a member means you get access to ‘The Square’, a network of over 600 professionals ready to impart their business wisdom.
