Check in was quick, Hannah at reception was friendly and nice. The hotel was quite full with people having Xmas parties so it was very busy but everything worked well and they had enough staff. The room was nice, comfortable bed, great bathroom (ours had a bath and a shower but shower very small) The executive lounge is also great with food and drinks provided throughout the day. The pool and spa area was fantastic, the pool temperature was perfect and it is very big. Breakfast was very busy but still manageable and had all sort of foods however the English breakfast was quite cold. Also 2 out of the 4 lifts we tried did not work. Would stay again!

I was at the hotel for a conversation. I had a single room. It was nicely decorated, though small so fine for a single person. The bathroom is strange as it is open plan, again fine if only one person is in the room. The bed and pillows were very good, the bed is high though. The shower was very good (water pressure 👍) the only negatives with the room, was that there were no draws and only a very small wardrobe. The design of the shower door, was such that the inside handle was very close to the edge of the door and I caught my hand and fingers in the door multiple times. The reception staff/bar staff were friendly and professional as well as the people who were cleaning the rooms. One thing you should be aware off is the price of snacks and drinks, were very expensive unless you had a discount or had access to the executive lounge. As an example a cuppacino cost £5.50 and a cup of tea was £4.80. There was an issue with the hotel water system which needed to be repaired, the hotel arranged for me to be transferred to another hotel, (these things happen). Everything was taken care of by the hotel, which I appreciated. I would stay here again.

Stayed here over a weekend (Fri-Sun) for a conference. The venue took me by surprise at its level of service and quality. I've stayed in Hilton's before and usually ones outside London are...tired? Not this one. My room was spotless and for the first time ever there was more sockets and USB ports by the bed than I knew what to do with! The breakfast options were extensive including an omelet and poached egg station. The conference facilities were top notch and the food was overflowing. Don't tempt me with a cooked breakfast and then follow it up with a mid morning break snack of bacon rolls. The staff were great too. My only critique which isn't unique to this hotel is the cost of drinks. A pint of coke...£4.50! A large glass of house wine...£11.00! But, for that to be my only issue, you're deserving of 5 stars. Fingers crossed I get to visit again (with a hip flask).
