Sensor City has been completely closed since lockdown in 2020. It is now 2024. The building has now changed ownership. The promises of creating hundreds of businesses and thousands of jobs turned out to be worthless. Incredibly expensive state of the art facilities are mothballed. There was no real business plan behind the dreams of academics beyond the idea that they just knew better than everyone else how to do everything. Not surprisingly it floundered.

Sensor City is one of the best venues for holding workshops, conferences and away days. My department has just had our Away Day in Sensor City. We were given access to the 3rd Floor Conference space and roof top terrace. The service provided by Liz and her team was spot on. Liz was particularly helpful with the initial booking and had a lot of attention to detail. I'd highly recommend this space!

Sensor City provides a fabulous, connected, modern meeting space. As expected of a brand new building, the facilities are clean and modern. Plenty of tech, power points and reliable WiFi. Plus the most amazing views of the city's cathedrals.
